Aristotle From My Perspective

I agree with Aristotle that inherent reasoning skills and desires found in humans enable them to achieve happiness. Humans have evolved as intelligent beings and therefore they are rational, logical, skilled, and execute right decisions based on reasoning. On the contrary, animals lack these key characteristics that make them irrational, and unpredictable. Moreover, animals have not yet evolved as intelligent beings as humans that create a clear distinction between humans and animals. Agreeing with Author’s perspectives, I think intellectual evolution among humans has enabled them with the power of planning, decision making, critical thinking, and planning. However, despite of inherent intelligence, reasoning, and wisdom humans too exhibit irrational behavior making them unpredictable.
I strongly believe that the unique qualities of mind have enabled humans to control, manage, and monitor their behavior and attitudes. The power of mind underlying within humans has equipped them to effectively overcome irrationalities and accomplish their desired things of life.
I disagree with Kierkegaards Leep of Faith that lays emphasis on resolving problems through inherent faith. I strongly believe that human faith and conviction certainly make them stronger, however, right decision making and apt selection from the available choices primarily depends on our intelligence and knowledge rather than mere faith. I think faith to some degree certainly empowers the spirit and boosts confidence to overcome adversities.
I completely agree with Nietzsche, that passions often overrule our reasoning and deplete our morality and character. The role of religion and spirituality is indispensable is helping people get rid of such negativities. However, I also believe that passions and desires if properly nurtured make one ambitious and accomplish the desired goals and objectives.
